Christmas Day 2008

We had a really fun Christmas this year. Here are a few pictures of the kids' favorite things:

They also got lots of pj's, clothes, toys, and money for Christmas. With their Christmas money they went to the store and Leah bought a vacuum and broom/dustpan for her bedroom. She loves to help vacuum every time we get out the real one. Alex and Caleb put their money together and bought another Star Wars Galactic Heroes set.

Making Cookies for Santa

We made sugar cookies for Santa tonight. Nothing says Christmas Cookies like coconut flavored sugar cookies! A little coconut flavoring in the dough and frosting reminds me of the cookies my Aunt Diana would make for family Christmas parties. YUM!

Robert Turner's Funeral

I went to my dad's biological father's graveside service today. I never knew him, and he never knew me. Read the full obituary here.

Snow Fun

The kids have been keeping themselves occupied while there's no school by playing outside. They have had snow ball fights with their neighbor friends, and we made 2 snowmen today (I forgot to take pictures). They love the snow!

Lanier Family Christmas Party

We had a nice turkey, ham, potato, corn and rolls dinner with the Lanier family. We missed seeing Jon's brother, David, and his family. His sister, Christel, and her family came and so did his dad. It was a lot of fun. The kids always love playing with their cousins.

As many of you know already, I won a trip to Disneyland for 4 people from the KODJ radio station a couple of months ago. I had submitted the dates for travel and we've been waiting for Disneyland to get back to us. I finally heard from them today and there's MORE!

Out of all the contest winners they had over the past 6 months they picked one GRAND PRIZE winner to be honored as a special guest at Disneyland! We are going to have so much fun! Check out California's local news story they did about the contest winner--ME!
