We had orange pumpkin shaped pancakes for breakfast with faces made out of chocolate chips. This is the food that I made for dinner:

Alex and Caleb went trick-or-treating with Alejo (Darth Vader) and I took Leah. They all got TOO much candy. Probably a year's supply.

Pirate Show

The kids got together and came up with this Pirate "act" (that's what they call a play). It was pretty funny. They worked on it all day, trashed the house with blankets, banana chairs, pillows, toys and such...but it was so funny. Check it out.

First Day of School....Again!

I am SO excited for the new school! I have been anticipating this day for 2 years now. They announced that they were going to rebuild the school more than 2 years ago. It was scheduled to be completed December 2008, but it was ahead of schedule and opened TODAY! Yeah!

Here are the reasons I'm so happy about the new school.

1. No more crazy school schedules (they were going from 9:30am-4:10pm)

2. Both boys will be going to the same school. Kindergarten classes were held at a totally different school than grades 1-6 while they were waiting for the school to be completed.

3. No more bus stops!!

4. The A/C and heat will actually work in this school...because it's new!

5. More parking

6. The new school is BIG, NICE, and NEW!! I love it!

Halloween Decorations

The kids got to paint their own halloween decoration. We gave them each a skeleton and some paint and let them go! They had a lot of fun. What's even better is the fact that they glow in the dark! There was glow in the dark paint that they used on their skeletons. Our house is extra spooky at night now!!

Leah's Owie

I was getting the boys motivated to get in the shower when I turned around and saw Leah's bright red head. I asked her what happened and she said, "When I was at Nanny's house I banged my head right on the wall!" I got a little worried, so I took a closer look...

She was totally faking me out! She had gotten into my make up, drew a line on her head with my lip liner, then tried to wipe it off...leaving a huge red mark on her head! I'm glad this owie was an easy one to take care of. All it took was a little soap and water!

Rock Climbing

My dad had a plan for the kids to learn how to rock climb. The kids were so excited about it. We strapped the kids up into their harnesses and let them climb.

Alex kept going over and over and over again. He loved it! He was the last one climbing after everyone else was tired.

This is to show how far Caleb went. He was so close to touching the ceiling, but wouldn't go the extra mile to get there.

I think Leah just liked being strapped into the harness to hang there. She didn't really "climb" anything, but loved dangling from the ropes.

Jon's turn. He climbed that wall in no time!

I made it to the top too. Gotta love the way those harnesses make your rear end look so hot!

And here's the professional...my dad. He had all of his own gear from being involved with search and rescue. Thanks for taking us rock climbing! It was a blast.

The Lightsaber Wars

My boys know that we don't allow lightsabers. They ask for one EVERY time we're at Wal-Mart, or any other store that they see them at. We tell them NO every time! You'd think they'd understand by now. Well, one day Alex got creative and decided to make his own light saber! He took apart his dart blower, added some other parts, put a small flashlight in the end and VOILA! He made his own Darth Vader lightsaber. It turned out pretty well. I'm so proud that he was able to be so creative and discovered how to make one.

P.S. A few hours later I made him take it apart because, homemade or not, lightsabers are NOT allowed! It makes the boys fight even MORE than usual when we have one around.
